      Description

I make a surface plot from a histogram created from a table. The surface produced has unwanted stripes, the location of which depends on (N_x,N_y) (number of points in the table) and (M_x,M_y) (number of bins in the plot. In my case, these are large numbers, M_y = N_y leads to stripes, as do M_y = N_y +- some small number n. But the unwanted stripes move about, depending on n. It has the appearance of a binning mismatch or interpolation problem.
