    Description

HistFactory does not warn or abort if the input histograms have variable bin widths. This is a known limitation of HistFactory (for some technical reason). Since naively one would expect the binning not to matter when performing a NLL fit between histograms

I think HistFactory should either internally map the input histograms onto histograms with constant bin widths (use the bin index of the input histogram as the x-axis of the new histogram) or log a warning or abort if the user supplies histograms with variable bin widths.

Is this really the best place to submit issues for HistFactory? There is no category for HistFactory and I don't see much activity on HistFactory here.
