Seg fault in TFitEditor::UpdateGUI

      Description

      To reproduce this issue, use the attached macro that contains three functions step1(), step2(), and step3(). Here are the steps to reproduce:

      1. Load reproduceScript.C into Cling
      2. Run step1() in Cling and wait for the TCanvas to appear with a TH2 and TGraph
      3. Right click on the TH2 and select the FitPanel.
      4. Once the FitPanel opens, click on the Close button to close it
      5. Run step2() in Cling.
      6. Click on the TGraph that is now a red dashed line with x's as markers.
      7. Run step3() in Cling
      8. At this point you should see that ROOT seg faults with a stack trace like the one below
