filling a predefined TH2 or TH3 with ProofLite at least redefines the axes and fills nothing when it should just have filled the histogram like it does for TH1. This makes ProofLite useable for many use cases involving TH2 or TH3.

I am attaching a degenerate test case where the variables in the tree increase with each entry so there is no way a guess on histogram sizes from the first entries can be good.

$ root -b -q -n test1.C test2.C

I see this behavior with today's v5-34-00-patches aka 4843c98.

Thanks for reporting and providing the macros to reproduce and to test.
This is fixed now in the master and v5-34-00-patches and will appear in the next tag 5-34-18 .
